About Us

Our beautiful fine Australian Merino wool comes from the outback area of Nyngan NSW. It is grown on family farms in the area.

The wool is sourced from the Mullengudgery genetic line which started in the late 1800’s and was first registered in 1923. The farm is still family run to this day.

It is scoured in Geelong Victoria and processed in Bacchus Marsh Victoria then spun into yarn in Burrumbeet Victoria, in a totally off grid sustainable mill.

It is all Australian grown and produced right here in NSW and Victoria

Every ball or skein is handwashed and dried under the Australian sun. It is then balled and skeined by us. Each one individually done.

We have 4ply and 8ply which knit up beautifully soft and particularly the 4ply has a lovely drape.

The wool contains no added chemical or dyes, coming straight from the sheep with no additional chemical processes added.

Perfect for newborns and young babies. It is soft and not harsh against the skin.

This wool needs to be handwashed in warm water and wool wash.

Historic Nyngan, NSW

Nyngan and the wider Bogan Shire region in western New South Wales boast a deeply rooted Merino sheep industry. The region's history centers on developing hardy, large-framed, and drought-tolerant sheep suited to the harsh outback environment

Mullengudgery Merino

A renowned, multi-generational Merino and Poll Merino stud founded in 1923. The Moxham family breeds highly durable, large-framed, and hardy sheep designed to thrive in the tough conditions of western NSW station life.

The Wool

Like all premium Australian Merino, the wool features a low micron count, meaning the fibers are incredibly thin and soft. This prevents the scratching and itching traditionally associated with regular wool, making it luxurious against the skin.

Production

Every ball or skein is handwashed and dried under the Australian sun. The wool contains no added chemical or dyes, coming straight from the sheep with no additional chemical processes added.

Prepared by hand

Every ball or skein is balled and skeined by hand by us. Each one individually done.

Quality Control

Each item is meticulously inspected by our Quality Assurance Officer. He takes his job very seriously.
